My little grand-daughter was having difficulty in grasping the concept of ‘tables’ and I could think of no better way of helping her than by using the old-fashioned method of the Abacus. She is really keen and enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoys using this colourful method of counting, adding, subtracting etc. Problem solved! Must say though.. not a toy as such but a fun way of learning the basics of mathematics.

Had this for a couple of years now. Kids have thrown it around and it’s been under other toys at the bottom of the toy box etc. Still in one piece though. Quality build and hardwearing.

I would have liked to have known what exactly was in the set when I bought it, so if it helps mine contains:

4 cups and saucers

Pot with lid
Colinder

The only thing that I would have liked included that isn’t is a milk jug, would have finished the set off nicely. The pieces are quite small compared to other sets I’ve seen but for little hands that’s not a problem.

I bought this set specifically as it comes with a carrying case, too many of the alternatives only came in packaging with no thought as to keeping all the pieces together after the toy was opened. i’ve found this set to be excellent for my 2 year old daughter, she loves having tea parties with her dolls and other toys, pouring the tea, serving it etc. And when she’s done it all packs away neatly and tidily. the only complaint i have is that the lids supplied for the bowls don’t fit but apart from that I would recommend this toy to anyone.
